Youth Commission:

CORE Forum’s Youth Commission brings together young people and young adults from different religions. The commission can, for example, organize various events, discussions, or issue statements. It operates independently under the leadership of its chairperson but receives support from the Forum’s staff and board.

The commission meets about four times a year, either in person or online. So far, the Youth Commission has operated in English and Finnish.

Who can apply?

You can apply to join the commission if you are interested in interfaith cooperation and promoting young people’s perspectives.

No previous experience in committee work or volunteering is required. The most important thing is an open-minded willingness to meet people from different religions. New members will receive an introduction to practices of the CORE Forum.

What does volunteering at the CORE Forum offer:

In a safe space, no one has to give up their identity, and discussions are respectful.

At the Forum, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Network with people from different religious backgrounds and experts from various fields
  • Influence issues concerning young people, especially those from minority religions
  • Take part in various events and joint projects
