Guru Purnima is a significant spiritual festival observed in India and other parts of South Asia. It is dedicated to honoring and expressing gratitude to one’s teachers, mentors, and spiritual guides, referred to as “gurus.” Guru Purnima is also knows as Vyasa Purnima, for it marks the apperance day of Veda Vyasa, Lord Vishnus’ incarnation, the sage who dictaded the Mahabharata and compiled the Vedas.
