Thai Buddhists celebrate the first full moon of the year with the Sangha festival, called Magha Puja in Pali. It commemorates the day when 1250 enlightened monks gathered spontaneously to hear the Dharma from the Buddha. People gather at temples, offer lunch to the monks, and listen to teachings.
